A couple of pieces that attracted our attention over the weekend. A good way to start your Monday:
- Michael at 2Blowhards with an excellent quote from G.K. Chesterton’s Orthodoxy that can be applied to those who continually cite “freedom of speech” as an excuse to say whatever they want to say.
- Over at SI.com, Paul Zimmerman has a very funny piece on the length of time it takes to sing the national anthem at sporting events (the shortest: 51 seconds; the longest: well over two minutes). Very funny, and makes a point.
- And, appropos of a question we'll be delving into this week, Rebecca Cussey at NRO asks "Can Movies Do More than Deliver a Message?" Stay tuned this week; I promise we'll be talking a great deal about art, politics, the truth, and assorted ventures.
