MH - The Best News Money Can Buy

It was revealed on Friday that the Department of Education paid conservative commentator Armstrong Williams $240,000 to promote the President's No Child Left Behind policy, and the media was justifiably outraged. After all, why should he get paid for slanting the news when they do it for free?

UPDATE: Well, Williams was fired by his syndicate this week. Read about it here. Best line - Bryan Monroe, VP of the National Association of Black Journalists. "I thought we in the media were supposed to be watchdogs, not lapdogs." So did I, Mr. Monroe, so did I. Maybe you should talk to Dan Rather about it...
